KL brings over seven years of professionalism and perfection to the newest cutting edge salon in Grand Rapids Cheeky Strut. She has worked for LOreal professional and has trained under many established artists in the industry. KL calls herself and her staff artists. KL has trained with a unique approach to color; her skills are in dimensional coloring, multi reflective techniques and co tour tailoring of color and hair cuts so that each client looks different from the other. KL has also trained in curly and fine hair techniquesthat allow her to create a fuller thicker look for you.
KL prides herself in giving you a natural and gorgeous look as opposed to an edgy, punk look although they do that here too! She says its the subdual detail that is more impressive than the over done hair. She wants to compliment her client not overpower them, and she will never create a look for you that you cannot recreate at home on your own!
KL has put on various events across the city some of which include the very popular Hairball and Avant-garde events associated with the BOB. She has participated in numerous fashion shows and says her favorite events of all are the wedding parties. She wants every Bride and her best girlfriends to have the ultimate experience on their big day!
KL brings only the best talents into the salon and they dont work here just to have a job, they are artists and they love what they do. Cheeky Strut is not intimidating it is welcoming with a high end feel KL calls it distressed glamour and you will feel glamorous each time you leave!
Her grandma once said KL Ive been getting my hair done for a long time with the same lady and every time I go in she makes me feel as if its the first time Ive ever been there. this is how she wants each client to feel, no one should ever feel rushed or unsatisfied because that is not the experience one is paying for!
